If you're concerned about protecting your health, there's a good chance you've all but given up fried foods...
After all, most are cooked in omega-6 oils that promote oxidation and inflammation. And if the oils weren't bad enough, they're made worse by the high heat causing toxic compounds to form (LOPs).
And if that's not enough the breading on most fried food is made with grain flour that's not only high-glycemic, but also promotes inflammation in the gut.
