There have been a lot of misconceptions, half-truths and downright lies in the field of health and nutrition over the years. But perhaps the most damaging of all were those spread about fats.
Government, medical and corporate interests helped to create an atmosphere of belief that dietary fats were the enemy of health and the primary cause of weight gain... leading directly to the low-fat craze and the wild popularity of fake, processed foods, loaded with sugar.
Of course, as you know, there are unhealthy fats. But there are also fats that protect against heart disease... help to balance your hormones... improve brain health... and add years to your life.
We've already covered this ground many times before, so we'll skip the discussion of good fats vs. bad fats. Today, we would like to share with you a culinary fat that you're probably not using.
