Dear ,
The type of fat you eat can have a tremendous impact on your health. And that impact can be very positive... or very negative.
Omega-6 fats, for example, are strong promoters of inflammation. They are also easily oxidized and can lead to DNA mutation and other
cellular damage. Consume too many of these fats over the years, and you will dramatically increase your risk for cancer, heart disease, Alzheimer's, macular degeneration and more.
Hydrogenated fats - or trans fats - are even worse. According to the Institute of Medicine there are "no safe levels" of trans fats to consume. In addition to the chronic diseases
above, these fats are also associated with diabetes and metabolic illness.
Healthy fats, on the other hand, such as those that are saturated, mono-unsaturated (MUFAs) and omega-3 polyunsaturated fats, help to quell inflammation. They are also more resistant to oxidation.
Including these fats in your diet (while avoiding the former) promotes health and can reduce you risk of chronic illness.
So, we reinvented this delicious meal with healthy anti-inflammatory ingredients.
To Your Health,
