One of America’s top doctors is hoping you’ll read this before you set foot in another grocery store.
Renowned cardiothoracic surgeon Dr. Steven Gundry has found an “invisible problem” affecting almost everything we eat. But almost nobody knows it’s happening — except the big food companies responsible for it.
And Dr. Gundry’s research shows it could be the true cause of low energy, digestive issues, and unwanted weight gain in millions of Americans over
35.

Dear ,
Selenium is a trace mineral that is essential for optimal health... and there's a very good chance you're deficient in it.
Selenium is a proven immune booster and is vital to your antioxidant defense system. Without it, several enzymes your body uses
to destroy free-radicals do not function properly.
This is one reason why the incidence and mortality rates for a number of different cancers are higher in those who are deficient in selenium.
This important trace mineral can also reduce the risk of heart disease,
improve thyroid function and dramatically boost male fertility.
And a study published by the American College of Rheumatology found that it can even help decrease your risk of osteoarthritis. In the study, those with the highest levels of selenium were 40% to 50% less likely to have this painful joint condition.
Plant foods are
the richest source of selenium, but the amount that is found in a food is dependent on the amount in the soil.
And that's a big problem. Due to industrial agriculture methods, most of our soils have become depleted of this vital nutrient. Therefore, so have most of our vegetables.Good sources of selenium can include garlic, grass-fed meat, wild salmon, fish roe, mushrooms, nuts, and eggs. However, the best source of selenium (by far!) comes from Brazil nuts, which contain many times more selenium than any other source.
One unshelled Brazil nut offers an average of 100 mcg of selenium. That's more than what is provided in most mineral supplements.
Shelled Brazil nuts are a good source of
selenium too. However, they only offer an average of about 20 mcg per nut, so you would need to eat about five of them to reach the same amount of the mineral you can get in an unshelled nut.
If you want to optimize your intake of this critical nutrient, be sure to eat five or ten Brazil nuts each week.
